Duku Foré

Duku Foré was born in a refugee camp in Uganda and lived there with his family for the first ten years of his life. His family was accepted as refugees into Australia where they received “food, care and compassion”. For many years, as the only black child in his class and struggling with a severe speech impediment he suffered regular bullying at the hands of his classmates.

But as a teenager, Duku had a dream to become a great speaker. He will share his remarkable commitment to this dream that took him to representing Australia to speak at the UN Headquarters, at the age of 19.

Duku is now an international speaker, an author of 2 books, a 2-time TEDx Speaker, as well as a UN Delegate having represented Australia at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. His accumulated knowledge and experience are seldom found even in the most traveled of people.

Duku is also the Founder of Rich Dreams, a platform that provides a safe environment for people to showcase their success journey, build connections and work towards achieving their dreams.

At 22, Duku was one of the youngest graduates of the Australian Institute of Company Directors' Company Directors Course and he has been awarded the post-nominal of GAICD.

In addition to Rich Dreams, Duku has also founded HnH Wholesalers, a merchandise base supplier to the Hotel and Hospitality industry. HnH is a supplier for clients such as the RNA Showground, Marriot Hotel, Star Hotels, Brisbane Racing Club, and more.

Duku is a committee member of the Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association (PMSA) Policy Committee which owns four outstanding Queensland Schools: Brisbane Boys' College, Clayfield College, Somerville House, and Sunshine Coast Grammar School. He is the youngest ever appointed governance member for the PMSA.

Duku’s remarkable story is told in his autobiography: 'The Poor Kid With Rich Dreams.'
