MEET THE SPEAKERS

DANNY AND LEILA ABDALLAH

On February 1st, 2020, Danny and Leila Abdallah's world turned upside down when a car driven by a drunk and drugged driver tragically killed three of their precious children. Within 24 hours, Leila and Danny challenged us all on TV screens with their response to forgive the driver. One year later, Danny and Leila founded 'i4Give Day' and now look to share their powerful message of hope and forgiveness.

DUKU FORE

Duku Fore was born in a refugee camp in Uganda. 10 years later, his family was accepted as refugees into Australia. For many years, as the only black child in his class and struggling with severe speech impediment, he suffered regular bullying. Duku is now an international speaker, author and 2-time TEDx Speaker, as well as a UN Delegate having represented Australia. 

MOLLY CROFT

Molly is an 18 year old who loves sharing her message in the hope of encouraging young people to not be defined by their circumstances, but to always look for a reason to smile. At age 11, Molly was diagnosed with Osteoblastic Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) and has lived between hospitals and her home since. As President of the Tie Dye Project, Molly has helped raise awareness and in excess of $500,000 for cancer related causes.

MATT CARUANA

From the age of 12, Matt questioned his self worth and self image causing depression, anxiety and drug use. Matt became paraplegic at 16 after attempting suicide. He has since turned the “worst day of his life” into his greatest years by forging his best-self to be an example of hope for others. He is an ambassador for Lifeline Australia, Basketball NSW and in 2023, he broke the Guinness World Record for the most towel pull-ups in one minute. Matt has found his calling and realised he could help other young people to find theirs.

MICHAEL CROSSLAND

Michael has the ability to captivate the imagination of young people to encourage and inspire them with his story. Michael is an extraordinary young man who has defied the odds of a life- threatening cancer to build a life of exceptional achievements. An accomplished businessman and an elite sportsman, his life is a remarkable success. He looks to share a message of hope and overcoming adversity. Michael's impact is so great that he is invited year after year.

TIMOMATIC

Timomatic is one of Australia’s greatest singers and dancers. He’s appeared on national TV shows including ‘So You Can Think You Can Dance’ and ‘Australia’s Got Talent‘ and has released singles that topped the ARIA Charts. In addition to his incredible performances that get crowds of thousands of students on their feet laughing and dancing, Timomatic also shares inspiring insights related to chasing your dream and believing in yourself!
