Stand Tall Sydney 2021 live and online
9 June 2021 - 31 August 2021
Our mission at Stand Tall is to prevent youth suicide by building hope into the lives of young people and arming them with the skills of resilience, the strength to stand up to bullying, the keys to moving towards their dreams, the power of perspective, plus the benefits of making good and wise decisions. We are confident that our Sydney Event accomplished this!
We have received such positive feedback from students, teachers, volunteers and parents thanking us for providing such a fun, powerful and impacting event. See some of our event highlights below!
2021 Impact
Our Stand Tall Sydney 2021 live and online event reached more than 100,000 young Australians, Nationwide, with the vital message of HOPE. Surveys show that over 93% of students indicated that they were helped by the speakers at the Stand Tall Sydney Event, and 80% indicated they felt more hopeful about their future.
Why is hope important?
Ms Christine Morgan, CEO of the National Mental Health Commission and National Suicide Prevention Adviser to Prime Minister Scott Morrison says “HOPE is a fundamental component in suicide prevention”. Hope is also a critical metric in Australia's Gallup Student Poll as hope, or a lack of it, affects goals and life outcomes.
